Zones are areas in the game split up into loading points of sorts. Each zone has it's own lore and stories behind the creatures that live there and inhabit the land. Warhammer Online is not a persistent world such that you can not go from one side of the map to another without loading into a new area, or zone. Zones are then categorized in regions and further more realms. Region and realms are not loading points but they dictate the factions ruling the zones.
